Braking that leads to even more efficient

driving.

With brake energy recovery (recuperation). Part

of the kinetic energy produced when braking and

coasting is temporarily stored in the vehicle’s

battery and then used when accelerating.

Depending on

the driving cycle, this can save

up to 3 % of fuel.

Such as Audi cylinder on demand and the Audi

valvelift system, which both reduce the amount of
